Hello there, this is my first article here. I thought I’d use this opportunity to tell you why I joined medium and how it has really helped me in career and life. So this is my Hello World article on Medium, a highlighted list of reasons I joined Medium:
1. It was by accident
I was in search of an explanation on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a Deep Machine Learning model that has been used to generate images in the Computer Vision world. Fortunately, one of the first links I saw on the Google Page was GANs from Scratch 1: A Deep Introduction, it’s a great read, you should try it. I automatically became glued to Medium, searching everything I could and reading the amazing things people are doing in research and life.
2. Everyone knows something
It’s amazing how much information you can acquire by just listening to, watching, or reading the works of people. There’s hardly any topic that has not been covered or problem for which a solution has not been attempted.
I’ve always looked out for and sought more knowledge in every field of interest, especially in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. I know that everyone has something to offer, no matter how little it may be.
3. Community Feedback
Finally, I consider myself more of a giver and less of a receiver. I feel that if I say that I have something to offer the world, then I really should offer it. So I made a decision to post articles as often as possible on the platform so that I can truly be a part of the community.
So, I guess the lesson in this whole thing is to not have a selfish mindset. Let’s share our ideas as often as possible and together, we can make the world a better place.
